Random News - Semi-Blog...
This is where I will try to keep everyone updated in my life.. there will be tons of pictures to make up for my not-so-deep blog entries HAHA
February 20th 2006 - Yesterday I got back from a visit to Waterloo. There, a bunch of us spent some quality time and went to 'LL Bighorn in Cambridge. It was an enormous amount of fun! We laughed, we laughed till we cried, and we danced.. couldn't ask for much more than that!

On Sunday, we went to see Megh's horse Tex. He's gotten so much bigger than the last time I saw him!! He's such a cutie!! He's not even two yet and he's only a few inchs off of being the same height as Dakota!

I also received some good news! Daisy had a litter of puppies!! I simply can't wait to see them!!
February 24th 2006 - No pictures today but a little update.   Yesterday the ferrier came out to do Dakota's hooves.   I was terribly nervous because it was the first time he's had his feet done without being in the stocks.   He was a star though!! Stood perfectly and didn't jerk his legs once!! So proud of him!   It was storming pretty good though. As soon as I got out there it started.   Couldn't even see the road from the house... so needless to say, we ended up stuck there for longer than originally planned.   Oh well, Dakota was happy, he got extra grain LOL.
February 28th 2006 - Well today was my first official day of work. As strange as it is being back in my old Elementary School, I like what I'm doing.   I'm working in the Grade One and split Three/Four rooms helping with reading, writing and math. It's a lot of fun.
On another note: All I can say is thank goodness there's only 20days left till Spring... I'm getting mighty sick of all this snow!!   Here are some pictures of a few weeks back when we had the real bad storm.
Before the storm...
During the storm....
After the Storm....
March 12th, 2006 - Woah, it's been a big weekend. Things are still progressing with Dakota, it seems as though he is enjoying working out more, which is great! We're both breaking sweats now HAHA!

Yesterday was an exhausting but fun-filled day. Took the 8am bus to Kitchener where Matt picked me up from the bus stop and we headed to Toronto's International centre for the Performance World Show.   It's a custom car show which turned out to be really good again this year!   Additional pictures are on my GTAMC page.

From Toronto we went to Orangeville where we ate at Kelsey's and saw my neighbours from here in Walkerton. Small world eh?

We than made our way back up here and attended the St.Patrick's Day festivities in Cargil. It was a blast as usual. You can see the pictures and a brief write-up on my 'Various' page.
Beauty of a Corvette
March 31st 2006 - WOW!! It's been quite a while! I'll get things started.

Megh and I attended the Can-Am Equine Trade Show on the 17th of March. We learned tons, you can catch up on it in my 'Various' page.

Mom, Dad and I also went to see Daisy's puppies... I picked up a dead one though... that was gross. I forgot to take pictures of them, I'll try to remember next time.

Dakota is now Cantering! It's a ton of fun.

Work is going good! I'm getting tons of hours, and couldn't be happier.

Picked up my Grad Ring yesterday. I'll try to take some pictures of it, it's really pretty haha!

Sorry this is kind of vague... I'm not good with words today.
Tuesday April 11th, 2006 - Went to K/W on saturday night for Matt T's birthday dinner. It was really good, but I wasn't feeling too well and was very tired. Got him a fake plant thing for his fish tank and some glass eggs, again for the fish tank.   It was great seeing lots of people again. Amy R. was there eating too, it was nice to see her as well.

Sunday, went for Breakfast with Megh and than went to play with Tex. What a cutie he is! He wears a saddle now too! Such a star.

When I'm done riding Dakota, I've been putting him in a stall to eat his grain. He doesn't like stalls very much at all. I had to take a few pics of him in it.. it's just too cute. He looks so odd being in a stall!

On a side and slightly alarming note, I have a chiropractor appointment on the 15th of may... not looking forward to it, but something needs to be done to my neck and tailbone/hips.
May 2nd 2006 - Wow, it's been quite a while! Things are still going quite well. I plan on moving Dakota shortly back up to Gails. I'll be glad to get him out of the place he's in. He's been getting good enough care, but I just don't like the people there haha.

Jaime and Pat's Stag'n'Doe was on the weekend. It was great seeing everyone again. It was tons of fun. I tried to take some pictures, but pretty well as soon as I turned on my camera, it died. I only got one pic of Jaime and Pat dancing.

Easter was a good weekend. Took some pics there. We decorated eggs on Good Friday. It's a great tradition. We've been doing it as long as I can remember. Than Sunday was the big dinner... just as tasty as always!
October 18th 2006 - WOW! Sorry for it taking so long to update.. it's going to make this entry quite long!

The frist and most exceiting news is that on August the 13th, Matt proposed to me! YAY us! We had spent the day at the Toronto Zoo where he had been acting extremely odd. When we were about to leave he asked me to help him find something.

A little background story here: At the Toronto Zoo you can buy bricks that you can have engraved. The money from them goes towards the Zoo Foundation.

So anyways, as the pics show, I obviously said yes!! The date is set for sometime in August of 2008. We have a lot of the ideas plannedout already, including the Wedding Party, those people we will be contacting probably around Christmas of this year!

On to other things: I am still doing University courses. I'm doing 5 at the moment. Not much to say about them.. they're a lot of work haha. I'm also in the midst of apply to Teacher's College's. That's exciting too.

Dakota is still doing well. I've moved him to a place just 6mins from our house here in Walkerton. It's amazing having him so close! I love it! There is a Cowboy from Oklahoma up training horses for the owners of this place and he has agreed to give me tips on training Dakota to neck-rein (steer with one hand for all you non-horsie people!). So that's super exciting too.   I have also got the driving bug and plan on teaching him to drive sometime over the next year or so.

I think that's all for now!

OH OH!! Special Congrats go out to Jaime & Patrick, Matt & Beate, and Ashleigh & Dan on their weddings this year!!
Awww!!! Isn't it sweet?!
Paisley Fair!!
YAY Jaime & Patrick!
What a Great DW Pic too!

...It snowed in October... the 13th... eww...
November 6th 2006 - As I said, I'm going to attempt to keep this updated a bit more often.

Spent the weekend of the 28th in K/W. It was a lot of fun. Megh, Matt & I went to the Ranch on Friday night for my birthday. The Bareback Riders were playing. I quite enjoy them.   They do good covers, and also have a few of their own that are really good!   Saturday, Matt & I attended Matt T's wedding! It was really nice, and it was great to see everyone again! Sunday, we went to see the Lippizzaner Stallions at The Aud. They were quite beautiful, but not as impressive as I had hoped they'd be.

I've got a few interesting topics that I want to cover in the next little while in this spot. Not quite sure yet if I want to continue this blog here, on my website, or if I'll use LiveJournal or something like that. I'll be updateing this section soon no matter what though!
Till Next Time <3
November 22nd 2006 - I'd like to start by wishing Aunt Marge a VERY Happy birthday (on the 21st), also, Happy 5th Birthday to Gweneth (21st), and 2nd Birthday to Cameron(22nd)!! I hope everyone enjoied their day!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now onto a more interesting note.. I'd like to bring up the point of Canada not having much Patriotism. Everywhere you look on television, movies, music and even clothing is U.S.A.

Not that long ago, we went to see the Lippizzanar Stallions. The first piece of music they played was a rendition of "Proud To Be Canadian". Now, last time I checked, didn't that title and tune belong to "Proud To American"?? Now I don't know the history of the song, but I do know it was the first time I've heard is performed with those words (please correct me if I'm mistaken).

Are we that boring that we can't even make a quality song that is SOULY about Canada? Sure we have our anthem, but even now-a-days that's being pushed out of our school systems because it's offending to some... OFFENDING to some??!! How can our one MAJOR staple of Canada be OFFENDING to some. It's sickening.

I'm going to try out a shoutbox here so that anyone can leave their comments on the topic. Please feel free to voice your opinions whether they agree or disagree... this is a free country after all ;)

Till Next Time <3
January 3rd, 2007 - Well, Christmas has come and gone, and it is now 2007. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and got everything on their wishlist along with a lot of quality time with their friends and family!

I don't want to jinx it, but I've been loving this weather! above 0 and sunny, can't ask for much more than that for January! I've been getting a lot of time to ride out in the fields with Dakota which I think he appreciates as much as I do!

Wedding plans are going good too. The date is set, church is booked and plans are underway there with the priest, and the hall is booked as well! Crazy isn't it!? The date is set for August 16th, 2008!!
My Awesome pic of Dakota! It's burnt into wood!
Cute Rebecca
Megh's pup Tucker!
Mom's new sign!
January 5th 2007 - Went up to Purple Valley yesterday. Visited with Gail and Amanda. It was great to be up there again! Daisy has had more pups, and there was a reeally sweet little one there, I'm such a sucker for puppies! I'd have millions running around the house if I could! I'm sure that would get quite smelly though!

Ameera is looking amazing! I can't believe we almost lost that little filly! She's going to make someone a great horse someday, she really does have the sweetest personality.

There's also a new addition, a baby goat!! He's simply adorable, I'd have millions of goats if I could as well!
Ameera in the summer...
Ameera Now!!!
March 1st 2007 - Hello again.   Not a whole lot on the update front. The wedding plans are going well, we've met with the priest a few times.   He's very cooperative and has tons of good ideas.
My courses are coming along well. I finished anohther one Monday night. I have one that needs to be done by March 31st, and than 3 that are finished at the end of August.   I plan on having them done well before that though.
I'm quite looking forward to this month. Not only do we welcome in the beginning of Spring, it's also the beginning of car show season, the month of the Can-Am Equine Tradeshow, St. Patrick's Day, and hopefully some nice riding weather.
Dakota's doing quite well, he's finally slowed down on his loap, I think his maturity is finally catching up to his size! He's neck reining quite well, and I hope to get enough time to work on him not bucking while he loaps in time for the PVRS Rodeo!

Till Next Time ♥
March 23rd 2007 - Well, it's been a pretty big month, I finished two more courses, and am just finishing up a third. Only have a 12pg Case Study and an exam (next thursday) left for this one. I've thoroughly enjoied (despite my constant complaints) this course. It's on consultation and collaboration in a classroom setting with children who have special needs. It's really interesting.

Megh and I attended the Can-Am Equine Tradeshow last weekend, it was as amazing as ever. The clinics weren't all that exciting this time around, although there was one that was really good about driving (That Driver Guy was cool eh Megh? lmao) I've attached some pics at the bottom of this post.   It's funny, sometimes I feel like Dakota and I are really progressing, than I go to something like this.   Laura Amandis is amazing. I can't even begin to explain verbally let-alone typing what it is to watch her with her Andalusian stallion.   She has complete and utter control over him with out even touching him.... I can only hope that Dakota and I will have that type of connection some day.

Speaking of Dakota, I had his ONE wolf tooth removed on Monday, it was quite a thing to watch. And the poor boy was so doped up, it took almost 2hrs to get him fully awake and not stumbling anymore!

Pictures are: (clockwise from l. to r.) Laura Amandis, Canadian Cowgirls, Stacey Westfall, Miniature Horse, Rocky Mountain Horse, Some French Driving Dude.. Francois Somethingoranother.
Should get back to my case study again...

Till Next Time ♥
March 27th 2007 - MAJOR update to the site, I was looking for a new desktop pic and discovered that I had A LOT of pics and icons that I had yet to get up on here!   Take a look throughout the site and make sure you sign the guestbook! I'd love to hear about the things you like, or would like to see changed!!

Till Next Time ♥
April 23rd 2007 - Hello all!   It's been a bit since my last update. I've added a new layout for the home page as you probably noticed! I've also updated Dakota's page, and a few of my icon pages including My Photoshop page.

I went to K/W on the weekend for Hanna's going-away dinner. It was great to see everyone again. I miss you all very much and wish the best of luck to   you Hanna!! ♥ ♥ After the dinner, Megh, Matt and I went to The Corral.   There are two girls that were there last time as well... wow is all I can say... pathetic describes them the best. Shaking their booties to the country songs trying to pick up the guys in the band..... VERY pathetic.

On a school-related note, I recieved an A- and an A+ in two of my courses recently!! I figure that puts me at about an A- average!! Yay me!!

Oh, almost forgot about Easter! It was a busy but great weekend, complete with colouring eggs, two great dinners, and tons of family time!!

Till Next Time ♥

(Pics clockwise starting top left: Gweneth & Rebecca,   Alina, Mom Grandma & I, Victoria, Tex, Random horse I want from Tex's farm LOL)
Tuesday July 31st 2007 - Well, summer is half over. How sad of a thought is that? I've made it to the beach once so far, and I hope to at least once more!

Work is going good, we're not overly busy, but that's kind of nice in a way!   Dakota is doing great, he loves the cattle and I've even been able to canter him a few times!

August is going to prove to be an exciting but busy month! On the 17th Amanda, Kelsey, and I are going to hanover to see Paul Brandt in concert!!! We're really excited, and are going to make a whole evening of it. There's dinner at 5, a battle of the bands, Big Mike Calahan (sp?), and Paul.

The end of August is goingto see a bunch of company which will also be very exciting! I'm looking forward to seeing each and every on eof you that's coming to visit!!

Till next time
